It is especially interesting to visit this gallery in the summer, because when the temperature is almost +30\u00b0C outside, the temperature here is invariably below zero. It never drops below -10\u00b0C or rises above -4\u00b0C.<\/p>\n

The \u201cKingdom of Permafrost\u201d presents ice sculptures of fish and fishermen, the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms, and characters from famous cartoons. Of course, there is an ice residence of Father Frost, as well as many other ice products.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]

\r\n Permafost caves\nMe and my travel mate visited this permafrost caves in the winter. Its just a 10 min ride by taxi from the city centre. You can do a nice walking tour trough the caves. We meet a guide and she was very friendly and helpful and had spoken very good english. The Kingdom of Permafrost it's a must see when you are in Yakutsk. <\/p>\r\n

\r\n Must-do\nThis is clearly the top museum in Yakutsk and really has to be seen. Take a short taxi ride out of the town centre and go down into the tunnels into the permafrost. Entrance 500 r and photography allowed.\nInside you can study the frost and snowflake patterns and be impressed by various and numerous ice sculptures showing local fish, local gods and figures from mythology (including a huge Greek minotaur!), and many others. <\/p>\r\n

\r\n Great activity on a summer day\nLove the coolness (if not chill) here on a hot summer day. It\u2019s an underground permafrost chamber at the foot of a hill. Lots of interesting ice sculptures and some playground items (eg ice slide) inside. <\/p>\r\n

\r\n Amazingly very cold!\nIt was amazing. We had a marvelous time and spent about 50 minutes at Kingdom of Permafrost. We went their on a Sunday, not a lot of people and the bar was closed. There\u2019s an ice slide though! Lots of fun! <\/p>\r\n

\r\n Yes, Go!\nA business colleague took me here because I'm new to the area. I really enjoyed this visit. There are ice sculptures and even an ice slide (I went twice), lots of photo opportunities (25 rubles per person for the right to take photos) and very informative. The place is interesting and fun and worth a visit to understand a bit of what's happening under the earth in this far northern region of the earth. <\/p>\r\n
